Harry Pierpont was one of the major members of the John Dillinger Gang. If history had its chance to play itself out, he could have been a Public Enemy himself and may have surpassed Dillinger in legend. He lead his gangs escape from the Michigan City, Indiana prison on September 26, 1933 with the help of John Dillinger, then broke John out of the Lima, Ohio jail to repay the favor, killing the Sheriff, Jess Sarber in the process. Dillinger then joined them on a midwest crime spree that lasted four months. It ended with the gang being captured in Tucson, Arizona on Janurary 25, 1934.
