La Nuestra Family originated within the California prison system and consisted of mainly MexicanAmerican prisoners. This organization was formed in 1968, and has spread outside the prison walls. They are responsible for selling illegal drugs, gun running, extortion, prostitution, and robberies in and around San Jose, California. This group banded together for protection from the Mexican Mafia gang.
