Jewelry designer, Loree Rodkin, offered that many of the new rich kids on the entertainment block are easy marks. They are so excited about their sudden thrust of bucks in their bank accounts, they lose all sense of the reality and responsibility that should come with it. Then too, many of these young kids come from poor backgrounds, not use to anything, and suddenly they are faced with having to make decisions about millions. Naturally, this would confuse anybody. I feel that some of these people believe that having tons of bucks protects them, when all it does is make them easy marks for the thief.Victims of the more than 70 burglaries in the last year have included Paramount Pcitures chief Sherry Lansing, William Fiedkin, Clippers basketball star Cuttino Mobley and Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. The most recent Bel Air burlaries were caught on video, but unfortunately the photos were blurred. Theres a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the thieves involved, said Lt. Ray Lombardo of the Los angeles Police Department. Police are not sure if the intruders in the video are connected to other breakins, but there is hope they will be identified soon, before another mansion is cleaned out.
