Campaign on Wednesday, April 23 at 2 p.m. at the Ritz Bar in downtown Athens. The Blitz Multimedia Campaign is a safety and awareness project to address a variety of safety topics including date rape awareness, advocating safe rides home and pedestrian safety.Eighteen new posters will be unveiled at this event. Safe Campuses Now partnered with Snowden Tatarski Advertising to develop these images that are distributed throughout Georgia to advocate safety awareness. These posters will be displayed in middle schools, high schools and colleges in the local communities as well all throughout Georgia. More than 38 thousand posters were distributed in 2007.Speakers will include C.R. Chisholm, the AthensClarke County Solicitor General, Robert Dallas the director of Governor’s Office of Highway Safety, Jimmy Williamson, the Chief of Police for the University of Georgia and a 17yearold student, Ashley Derose, a survivor of an alcohol and drug impaired crash that occurred three years ago when she was 14. She will unveil the latest in our While You Still Can series.
